I build mission-critical infrastructure. I understand the businesses that depend on it.

Over 20 years, I have delivered more than $100 million in complex construction, refurbishment, and critical infrastructure projects across commercial, industrial, defence, and secure environments. I have scaled a business from the ground up to $10 million in revenue without increasing headcount, built server rooms and communications infrastructure under the most exacting compliance standards, and operated in environments where failure is not an option.

The next wave of opportunity in critical infrastructure is not only in new builds. Assets constructed to last 25 years are already meeting technology cycles that move in three to five. The result is an accelerating demand for refurbishment, repurposing, and lifecycle optimisation of mission-critical environments. This is where I have spent my career: delivering complex upgrades within live, high-risk, compliance-driven facilities without disrupting the operations they support.

What sets me apart is not the technical record alone. As a 10-year member of the Entrepreneurs' Organisation, an active investor, and participant in founders networks who have navigated acquisitions, exits, and hyperscale growth, I bring a perspective that most construction leaders do not have: a deep understanding of the commercial drivers behind the infrastructure I build.

How I work

What I have done, and how I did it

Scaled a business without scaling headcount

I inherited a $1 million business operating on reactive, ad-hoc delivery. I designed and implemented ISO-accredited systems, structured procurement, and performance management frameworks that scaled revenue to $10 million without adding headcount or increasing overhead, during a period of sustained construction cost inflation.

Stepped in when it mattered most

When a key second-in-command was lost suddenly, I did not wait for a replacement. I assumed full operational control of multiple concurrent projects remotely across time zones. I restructured delivery teams within 48 hours, implemented daily coordination cycles, and engaged directly with every client to maintain confidence. No projects were lost. All were delivered.

Found the problem the design team missed

Mid-project on a $1.5 million build, I identified a major mechanical infrastructure gap that the design consultants had not caught. Rather than escalating and waiting, I led the redesign of a $450,000 mechanical system in-house, delivering a value-engineered solution that improved energy efficiency and compliance while absorbing the cost and programme impact without client disruption.

Built systems when nothing on the market was good enough

No off-the-shelf software could integrate project controls, financial reporting, and operational management to the standard the business required. I built and deployed every core system in-house: project controls, CRM, financial reporting, and currently a fully integrated ERP platform using AI-assisted development. Each system built on the same principle: consolidate complexity into something any team member can use.

Developed people from the ground up

I built the business with no inherited team. I designed L&D frameworks with defined career pathways and competency-based progression, introduced top-grading recruitment to raise hiring quality, and established performance management rhythms that improved accountability and retention. Team members who started in junior roles progressed to managing complex projects independently.

Delivered regardless of conditions

I have maintained delivery standards across every project regardless of circumstances. That includes a site that suffered fire damage mid-construction (works continued, the building was recovered and delivered), a 24-hour emergency services facility that could not tolerate a single hour of downtime, and defence-grade environments where compliance failure was not an option.

Selected projects

Work that speaks for itself

Defence / Secure Infrastructure

Hanwha Defence Australia HQ

Level 4 security office and communications environment. Fire suppression, controlled mechanical systems, strict compliance protocols. Earned the trust of a defence client under demanding conditions; awarded further work.

Critical Systems / 24-Hour Operations

Headspace Melbourne Headquarters

Multi-phase delivery. Self-managed comms room, 24-hour emergency call centre with critical MEP systems. Phased programme across an occupied building. Zero disruption to 24-hour operations.

Education / Change of Use

International Registered Training Organisation, $5M

4,500 sqm, major mechanical redesign. Original single-phase plan was unworkable for live operations. Replanned into four stages, maintained full occupancy throughout.

Industrial / Multi-Use Conversion

Multi Tenancy Homemaker Centre

5,000+ sqm. Structural demolition, fire damage recovery during live works, facade, civil, services, multi-tenancy conversion. Delivered despite conditions that would have justified stopping work.

Industrial / Brownfield Remediation

Visy Portfolio

Brownfield remediation (asbestos), MEP/HVAC compliance overlay, server room reconversion. Multiple facilities, repeat client.

Consular / International Security

Consular Office Work

Secure environments to international physical and IT security standards. Each consulate had different compliance frameworks; adapted delivery accordingly.

Tech Sector / Hyperscale Growth

Readify, Whispir, Nintex, Invetech

Technology environments for founder-led software businesses during hyperscale growth, including Readify (now Telstra Purple). Worked directly with founders on workplace strategy.

Mechanical Recovery / Value Engineering

Mechanical System Redesign, $450K

Identified missed infrastructure gap on a $1.5M build. Led in-house redesign. Value-engineered solution improved efficiency and compliance. Absorbed impact without programme delay.

Community and contribution

Beyond the business

I believe that leadership carries a responsibility beyond commercial outcomes. The work I do in the community is grounded in a long-held conviction that investing in people, particularly young people, is the most meaningful contribution I can make.

Youth Development Advisory

Three years of advisory support for a youth development organisation, focused on property strategy and sustaining youth centre operations. This is an extension of a commitment that began in 2017, when I directed resources from our business's sustainable strip-out initiative toward youth community programmes.

Mentoring

Youth mentoring at secondary school level through Salesian College, and career mentoring for university students at RMIT. Both programmes reflect a personal investment in helping the next generation find their direction and build confidence.

Community Leadership

Active leadership within the Bayside business community, supporting entrepreneurs from early-stage through to experienced operators. This programme has contributed to community development initiatives in Australia and youth and community programmes in India.

High-Performance Programme

Developing a programme that applies high-performance principles to help people build self-belief and personal motivation. The approach draws on sport, personal development, and the discipline of pursuing a standard, designed for people who may not identify as entrepreneurs but who are driven to improve.

Credentials and networks

Professional foundations

Entrepreneurs' Organisation (EO)

10-year tenured member. Forum Moderator, Mentor, and social group Chair. Trusted advisory roles with founders navigating acquisitions, exits, and hyperscale growth.

Personal

What drives me beyond work

Family is at the centre of everything. I am a father of two and deeply invested in my children, my partner, and the wider family who have made this journey possible. I am grateful for their continuing support through the challenges and demands of building and leading a business in Melbourne over the past several years.

Beyond family, I am drawn to the things that demand both discipline and appreciation: architectural design and heritage, music, and sport. I train and have competed in Olympic weightlifting at amateur level, not to claim any great standing, but to show my children that every dream is possible with the application of vision, continual focus, and sacrifice.

Extreme context, delivered through absolute simplicity.
